Therapy for a Changing World San Jose Psychotherapist Lia M. Salciccia
Bay Area psychotherapy and beyond: articles and resources for a changing world.
If you feel lost, adrift, tapped out, sunk, on pins and needles, or isolated: I can help. I work with individuals, groups, adults teens, couples, and families and relationships of all kinds. Learn to cope with and move through debilitating symptoms such as anxiety, depression, addiction, compulsions, sexual dysfunction, anger, and life crises. There is something to be learned and gained from each circumstance, each symptom, no matter how painful. My aim is to help you increase functioning in your relationships, at work, and at school. When you feel more functional, then you can begin to make new choices and reach your highest potential.
The world is changing, relationships are changing. Careers and families change and redefine themselves at the speed of light. This is a place to come get help if you feel like your lifestyle, family circumstance, spiritual orientation, sexual orientation, or way of looking at the world is a little different. It's important to you to have a therapist that not only sees you as an individual, but can understand you and your choices in the context of our evolving times. We are all more alike than we think: we all seek harmony in life and love and work and play and want to heal those wounds that block the flow of success.
If you're seeking a psychotherapist or relationship counselor in the Bay Area near San Jose, in these pages you'll find out more about me and what I do and what kind of counseling services I can offer you. If you're looking for more free resources and information concerning relationship tips, mental health, self-improvement, blended and step families, alternative lifestyle relationships, having better boundaries, communication skills, and other wellness topics, I hope you'll stick around for the articles. These are a good indication of the larger issues I'm currently working with in my practice. Information about my specific clients, of course, is confidential. While I don't often use client material in my writing, any anecdotes I might use from a session will have changes in key information to disguise the client's identity and is not used without a client's express permission.
