Deborah Baskin

Associate Marriage and Family Therapist and Associate Professional Clinical Counselor

I am an Associate MFT/PCC who is a trauma-informed, compassionate, and non-judgment eager to work with adolescents and adults as well as couples. I have experience in collaborating with individuals from diverse backgrounds, including people who are multi-racial, neurodivergent, and/or LGBTQIA+.

I utilize a variety of evidence-based therapeutic models dependent on the unique needs of the individual client. My job is to provide you with a safe space to be able to open up and work on self-examination in order to help you identify your strengths, let go of what no longer serves you, and move towards a better future.

My background includes working with age groups from youth to older adults. In addition to working with clients dealing with depression and anxiety, I have experience in working with folks who have experienced trauma, interpersonal violence, people navigating major life changes, grief and loss, and interpersonal and family dynamics.

Folks who know me would say I provide a genuine connection with warmth and humor to help clients feel supported and empowered. Our work together would be collaborative to help you find balance, insight, and independence. Everyone deserves to feel seen, accepted, and heard. Whether you are seeking therapy for you or your child, reach out when you are ready to set up a free 20-minute consultation or to schedule an appointment.

Professional Background

I graduated with a Bachelor of Arts degree double majoring in Psychology and Sociology in 2019 and completed a Master of Arts in Counseling (College Student Services, Professional Clinical Counselor, and Marriage and Family Therapist emphasis) in 2024. I have worked as a Trainee and Associate in many different locations, including two community colleges in the Bay Area, a local middle school, and with a local organization supporting families affected by domestic violence, sexual assault, child abuse, elder abuse and human trafficking.
